Baby Whitley June 2007

Easter 2007

May 2005 at Zane and Debi's wedding, I was about to pop...John was born a couple of weeks later...he was 9 lbs 2 ozs....that's my explanation...

I had problems finding pictures of just Kurt and me...and I can't find the pictures on my computer from when John was born, i know we have them just can't locate them right now.....so we need to do a better job of getting pictures of just the 2 of us!

Whitley-Pig tails, a new room and a new friend

Kurt's mom aka, Meme, fix Whitley's hair in pig tails the other day and it was too cute. We have been working on Whitley's new big girl room for several weeks now. Not having a baby bed or a changing table in our house is so weird. I am loving decorating very girly though. Her room is still a work in progress, but here are some pics. Also, Whitley got to play with a new friend Jack one afternoon. He is such a cutie! His Dad takes care of our cattle and while the Dads and John worked one Saturday, Jack and Whitley played. Whitley didn't really like sharing her toys, but that was ok with Jack b/c he would rather play with John's tractors and trucks anyway.

We played outside and it was really hot, so we came in for a water break.

My next update will be on John. He started soccer. It is a hoot! He has played 3 games and is getting the hang of it. I think we lost pictures from his first game, but we have several more games and I will make sure I get those pictures saved!!

Ranch Roundup

Friday during the day there was a kids rodeo at Ranch Roundup this year. The kids had a blast even though we had to wait in line 45 minutes to ride the pony and the bull.Petting zoo:

We had to tell him to let go at the end of it. The lady operating the bull would ask the kids if they wanted to get bucked off or just jump off on their own and of course John wanted to get bucked off and he did.

The view from our condo... We went with 3 other families and here are all the kids, Whitley was the only girl! The bird just pecked John on the head Whitley wasn't so sure about the birds so we let Daddy hold them. Out to dinner. The guys went fishing one morning and had very good luck. We brought the fish home and ate it this weekend it was great. They almost caught a shark, they had their gun out ready to shoot it when they got it in the boat and it got away at the very last second. Poor Charles fought the shark for a long time before it got away. That's the story they tell anyway!

Our last night there we had so much fun!

Destin Florida Vacation

Great Wolf Lodge

A few weekends ago we met my parents and sisters at Great Wolf Lodge. We had a blast! Whitley had fun the first day, but was not feeling well, so she got to play at Aunt Kami and Aunt LeeAnn's house in Irving the second day. Of course I didn't take my camera down the first day, thinking I would get pictures the next. So, I don't have pictures of Whitley at the water park...I know poor Whitley! Saturday night we at at Rainforest Cafe, which is always a hit. We highly recommend Great Wolf!

Kurt had more fun that John I think!

John was able to ride all slides except for 3 of the big scary slides. He rode the two big ones outside and the two big ones inside, then they had these middle size slides and some toddler slides.

John wore his goggles the entire time, both days.

John is 2 months older than Kira (and yes she is taller than he is) and they are the best of buds!

John and his cousin Destry. Destry is following in his sisters footsteps, he is very big for his age. He is four months old and weighs 19.8 pounds. Whitley is 2 and weighs 21 pounds! :)
