The tractor was/is our mode of transportation b/c our cars can't get past the 3 ft. snow drifts in our drive way.

Mr. Cool! John has had so much fun making snow angels, a snowman and having snowball fights.

Miss Cool going down the slide.

Who needs a gate when you can walk over your fence thanks to the snow drifts.
Christmas Day:

Santa brought Whitley a Dora kitchen, backpack, Elmo and a toaster plus all her stocking stuffers.

Santa brought John Buzz Lightyear (he got that last year too, but he needed one that the wings actually popped out), Woody, Slinky Dog, his own jet pack to wear on his back just like Buzz, and a Leapster video game.

John was the first one up. He was very excited. We had to wake Whitley up, but she was very excited to see what was going on.

Above, the night before Christmas cookies and milk, then off to bed.

Kurt's parents live right down the road. I planned on borrowing Pam's Christmas cookie cutters, but b/c of the weather we could not get to their house, so we settled for round Christmas ornament cookies.

Kurt wasn't with us most of Christmas Eve b/c he was in the tractor pulling people out of snow drifts. He got home at 9:30 that night. Then he had to lug all of the Santa gifts from the storage building to the front door b/c we couldn't get our garage open b/c of the snow. He was exhausted! He felt so bad b/c he could not get everyone off of Hwy 287, he had to leave many families out on the Hwy to spend the night in their cars in the 12 degree weather. A lesson to all of us...when there is a winter weather advisory, listen to what they are saying, if you just have to go, take blankets and food and keep a full tank of gas.... b/c of all the people out on the road needing help my sweet husband missed his family festivities for Christmas Eve, but we are just glad that he made it home safely and we hope everyone else finally did too!
