Joseph Cole Hinkle

Joseph arrived safe and sound at 1:58 today. He weighs 8 lbs 8 oz and is 21.25 inches long. He is perfect! John & Whitley came to see him and they were excited for a baby brother. Whitley had a hard time leaving which made me sad, but we'll be home soon. We'll post more pictures when we get home. Good night!

John's second year of soccer begins

I have to get better at using our big lens on our camera. Some pictures are fuzzy, but I was able to get closer than with the little lens. We can't believe how one year has made such a difference in John's soccer game. He actually "gets it" this year. The coaches are on the floor with them and there are no goalies at this age level. You can see by all the kids' smiles they are all having fun!
John is #4.

Above, John just scored....he really knows how to celebrate, we may need to tone down the celebration a little, but it is funny!

Homecoming Parade

The kids were more than excited to ride on the Church's float in the parade. It was very hot, but they don't seem to notice, they had a great time. John especially liked throwing candy to people!

More random pictures

Above, John's "all about me doll". He had to make this for kindergarten. Of course we made a cowboy complete with boots, spurs and a rope.

I took Whitley to get a real pedicure a couple of weeks ago, so she decided she wanted to do one at home. I am glad to have found someone who loves a pedicure as much as I do.

The Big Day

The pictures are out of order, but here is John's first day of school. He did not want me to walk him in b/c he didn't want me to be late for work. Of course, I walked him in anyway. He was so excited to eat breakfast there. Above, he is standing in line for the cafeteria. He told me that everything they have there (things like pop-tarts) is homemade. :) I did not cry like I thought I would b/c he was and still is so excited about school. I have shed tears since then, but not the first day.
John and Bret went to pre-school together and now they are in kinder together.

Sorry, these pictures need to be turned.

First day of school breakfast and yes, then he ate again...it's a big deal!

Whitley-Dance and a tea party

Whitley started dance class a couple of weeks ago. It is too cute. She is learning tap and ballet.
For those of you who know Kurt's sister Kami, you will see in the picture above that Whitley looks just like her!!!

Random August pictures

Whitley yelled, "Can somebody get me out of this fing (thing)" and I went to the utility room and this is what I found. She was trying out the new baby's carseat.
Whitley's first pedicure with Mommy at home.

Joseph Cole or Chancy Lynn is getting big!!!

There is nothing like laying in Mom and Dad's bed.

Fun times at home, still in jammies, enjoying the last days of summer.
